Metallica's road

"Enter Sandman" was the first one. I read the lyrics and laughed. Then I laughed harder to hear you singing it, and I thought you were very good, well, because sometimes love is excruciatingly blinding, and well... I had never heard the original version.

So I came back home and downloaded it, and they entered my life and I discovered how blissfully unaware I was of all the great music I was missing.

It was because of you hammering the wheel, entering school with "Master of Puppets" so loud I knew you were already there without even seeing you. It was because of you that your favorite band became mine.

Metallica was introduced for me by my first real love, and that is one of many other things I will be forever grateful.

Then it was my brother the one to give me all of them. A silver box with a whole discography on burned CD's. He was the one to give me "Whiskey in the Jar", he was the one who explained to me that you are just a "freight train coming your (my) way". He has given me so much...

So I pay tribute to my first love for introducing them. I pay tribute to my brother for developing my likeness, and I pay tribute to you, because I made it. The concert I've been waiting for years it was possible because of you.

You, the one who bought me ice cream when I couldn't get the ticket on time, the one whom I tormented for months because I was so excited, and finally, the one who made it materially possible, you took me there. You worried, you waited...

Thank you...
